Mission organization

Okay, so I have talked about letting go. I have talked about planning.
I have talked about how upside down my house has been since I went
back to work and have been sick. So I found a book on organizing for
moms. I looked over a magazine, I of course found an app on my phone.
And today I made my lists. The main one being routines and
responsibilities: my daily routine of housework.
I am super excited about this one, hoping it will help me keep my
house in a little better order. So Monday thru Friday I will complete
3-4 tasks that complete my household duties. I didn't want to put
anything on Saturday and Sunday because we usually have full plates
and work at least one of those days. Plus I already do a daily 5 list
of roughly 30-1 hours worth of quick clean up. I figure if I follow
the routines and daily 5 on the weekend then I will be golden. This
week will prove to be the hardest be aide I have to start in a bit of
a deficit because I obviously didn't do the routine last week. Some
things didn't get done last week at all.
I started as soon as I got home tonight and by dinner time was
just about done and didn't have to sacrifice too much time with the
kiddos. I feel good about the plans and am confident they will work
for me.
My other lists include family: things my men need from me,
errands: personal things I need to get done within a time frame, meal
planning/grocery list: is just that my next weeks meal plan with
shopping list, my projects list: all the things I want to get done
with no due date, someday list: ideas, thoughts, future goals, next
actions list: here I have my top three projects with the next item I
need to do in order to get moving on the project. For instance, clean
out garage: clean the right half of the garage. That is the next thing
I need to do on my list of doable actions in order for that project to
be completed. Sounds simple enough right? I say that tentatively
because well everything is good on paper it's putting the plan into
action that always seems to get me into trouble. I am finalizing plans
tonight and will post my daily routine and daily 5 tomorrow. Night all!

  2. thanks! You are totally right realistic goals is key. And having kids has taught me flexibility. I can't be so rigid if I get 80% done I feel good.
