Ode to the iphone!

Okay so I know people say it all. the. time. And I know for non-iphone users it's annoying but seriously if you are a mom you need the iphone or something similar. I love having an iphone. There are sooooo many different things you can do with it. It simply is ridiculous. Want to organize yourself there's an app for that. Want to keep your toddler busy in the grocery store, doctor's office, while you run errands there are apps for that. Want to keep track of the last time you fed baby on which breast yada yada yada there is an app for that! Seriously if you want it there's an app for it. The iphone is helping me take care of me. Just the ability to take awesome pictures on your phone and store it and send it to my shutterfly account or Walgreens to print in an hour is worth the money. I don't want to go on forever, believe me I could, but in closing here are some of my favorite apps.
For the toddler:
Weet Woo: it scans youtube to find videos of everything for your child based on age
Shape Builder: if your child loves puzzles this one is fun
irewardlite: a free app that is a reward chart with gold stars and all
monkey preschool: learning tool that uses a monkey as the host
First words: any of them help child recognize letters and spell out words
time-out: an alarm you set for when child is in time out so you don't forget, I also use this for when we are at the park and I want Aiden to leave without crying I tell him when he hears his alarm it's time to go and it works.
Chipmunks: if you kid loves the chipmunk movies this changes their voice to chipmunk voice Aiden thinks it's hilarious
For the baby:
Baby 411: It's thebump.com app
bab bab lite: free rattle app
whitenoisebaby: it is a white noise machine for the baby! and it has a rattle feature that caleb loves although he does get a little frustrated that he can't actually grab the bouncy balls!
ibearbaby: to keep track of everything baby
For the business woman:
Barnes and Noble ereader: buy books 50-80% off and read them on your phone
Talk less say more: how to effectively communicate
iretailer: your personal work clipboard
For the mom/housewife
modernmom: blogs, tips, forums
manic mommies: ditto above
causeworld: earn karma points by going places around town and donate to charity
project 365: capture your life with a picture everyday for an entire year
spending lite: keep track of expenses
vinegar: all the uses for vinegar
lose it: a simple tool to track what you eat and calories and fitness
shutterfly and wink by shutterfly: upload pictures to your account
awesome note: keep all your lists in one place
betty crocker cookbook: great recipes
pediatric symptom md: type in baby's symptoms and find out if and when you should call doctor or what to do.
There are so many more I may have to make another list!!!
